The Chilliwack Cultural Centre is Chilliwack’s home for artistic discovery and exploration; with two performance theatres, art galleries, 21 music studios, and four arts and craft studios, we present, champion, and celebrate creativity in all forms on the territory of the Stó:lō Coast Salish People. We aspire to be a place where all artists and audiences can pursue diverse ways of exploring the world and our place within it.

Dracula

This original adaptation written by local writer, Susan E. Newbury, depicts Dracula as a man torn between his beastly curse and his search to find love again.  This period piece is sure to whisk you away to a world where superstition is reality, the vampire does exist, and love can find its way into the darkest of hearts.  This adult oriented presentation will make use of strobe lighting and presents mature themes to create a frightening yet entertaining evening for audiences who enjoy a thrilling romp into the vampiric genre.

The Chilliwack Cultural Centre is hosting our first ever Right 2 Read Night! Join us for a powerful discussion of “Chains” by Laurie Halse Anderson. Read the book, bring your thoughts, and be a part of the conversation. We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented book-banning, affecting more books than at any time in North American history. Its main targets are books by and about people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community. At Right 2 Read Night, we celebrate the freedom to read. Let the power of words inspire and captivate you during this special event.

CLASSES


The Centre offers a diverse range of art classes for all ages. From pottery to photography to painting and even jewellery making, these fantastic classes are sure to inspire you. Open studios also offer a space to hone your skills in flamework, drawing and painting, and on the wheel or hand building in Clay


GALLERY

The Chilliwack Visual Artists Association (CVAA) curates the Odlum Brown Art Gallery at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. A non-profit, the CVAA is a volunteer driven organization of local artists working and exhibiting together to encourage the appreciation of the visual arts in the community.
